Perfect clone of the Karma Sutra — a tweaked harmonic percolator. Can be set up for SI or germanium. Currently loaded with a NOS soviet germanium transistor that's socketed and can be swapped for silicon. If you love the Albini thing or you're a Land Devices dude, try this harmonic perc variant. The extra controls take it from light drive to full fuzz.

Full-range preamp overdrive with controls for Master, Pre-Vol, Tilt, and a Hi-Pass toggle. Pre-Vol goes from gritty preamp drive to gated fuzz. The Tilt EQ is flat at noon — clockwise boosts highs, counterclockwise boosts bass. Hi-Pass cuts low end for lo-fi sounds with a 200Hz or 750Hz dip switch. Works on bass or guitar. Paint with all the colors of the wind.

About

Backlit Electric is a one-man show out of Austin Texas.

In the early days, the need for gear and a lack of proper funding drove me to the garage. I built gear with every extra dollar I could get my hands on. Over the years I've built a mountain of guitars, amps and pedals for local musicians, friends, family, bandmates, and strangers on the internet.

In the past we've offered custom guitars, amplifiers and pedals. There are 50+ Backlit Electric Guitars in circulation and about 10 amps. At this time, I'm making pedals when time permits and posting them for sale here. You will occasionally see a Backlit Guitar from my collection go up for sale.

Our custom build list is closed. But may open back up in the future.
